PIRATE FLAGS: A NATIONAL EMBLEM
Pirate flags have such a heavy image in your mind that anyone who sees your pirate flag will know that you shouldn't bother.
They've always had an image of being barbaric. They often gave cold sweats to the ships that came across them. Pirate flags are decorations that fit any style of interior: Rustic, Modern, Vintage, Retro and of course Urban.
THE ORIGIN OF THE JOLLY ROGER PIRATE FLAG
In the 1700's, the pirate flag is reported for the first time! The black skull and crossbones flag has for thousands of years aroused the fear of sailors.
Today everyone knows the famous pirate flag, but why? There are many stories of the creation of this flag, but the most famous is the story of the great pirate Emmanuel Wynne :
The first to have made his appearance and therefore the flag of EMMANUEL WYNNE, which was a flag with a skull in the center in front of crossed shins with an hourglass at the bottom of the skull decorated with bones.
According to the writings and archives of our glorious past, he was the first to fly the famous "Jolly Roger" flag. He was first seen in 1700 off the coast of Cuba with the objective of passing a simple message to the other pirates and the Navy: surrender or die.
THE DIFFERENT COLORS OF THE PIRATE FLAGS
At sea the flags had very strict regulations, each country had its own flag. For the pirates, there were three colors that meant different messages, here they are:
BLACK FLAG: The color black at the base simply meant that the crew was part of a group of revolutionaries and anarchists.
WHITE FLAG: White is the symbol of peace.
RED FLAG: The most dreaded flag, it signaled a merciless battle, with hundreds of fighters with an enormous thirst for booty and blood, so there would be no prisoners.
RED AND WHITE AND YELLOW FLAG: Belonged to the pirate Christopher MOODY, a ruthless pirate.
Finally, the pirate flags were there to represent the state of mind of the captain, but also the crew members of the warship in general. The message was directly understood by the opposing crews thanks to the tricolor codes of the flags that the buccaneers set up.
